Vintage EXPRESS spark plug

Description

Up for auction is a 7/8” thread, either New Old Stock or slightly used, EXPRESS PATENTED spark plug. This plug’s heavy ground electrode has a “groove” cut into it, providing a “path” for any oil deposits on plug to run off. This was thought to help the oil fouling situations in early engines.
PLEASE NOTE:
I believe this to be a very early version due to the word “patented” printed on porcelain and the lack of a blue colored top section on porcelain which is typically seen in this brand of plug.
